Sally Grigas Instructor
Teaching Philosophy:
As a teacher, I aim to expand each student’s awareness of the visual world and its numerous artistic and creative opportunities, through the use of a variety of art mediums. My studio offers a relaxed and secure environment for students to create their art. Throughout a class, I work with each student individually, addressing their own specific issues in their artwork. This is done through dialogue and demonstrations within the student’s own sketchbook. I believe that a strong skills base of learning the fundamentals in art will support the development of a more successful drawing or painting. Self expression based on a well developed skills base gives the student a strong and articulate voice in their work. I have the opportunity to influence students to reach deeply within themselves, understanding and interpreting universal themes of nature and man through artistic expression!
